PADI Adventure Diver / PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Course

As a Certified Diver you will already have discovered that diving is great fun, exciting and adventurous. You will also know that there is much more enjoyment to be had from experiencing new diving activities & diving in new locations.

At Sub-Mission Dive School the PADI Adventure Diver and the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver courses allow you to incorporate exciting new dives such as wreck, deep and photography with learning new skills, enhancing your knowledge and confidence, whilst giving you a taste of PADI Specialty courses.

Pre-Requisites

  • PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification from another training agency)
  • All students must complete the PADI Medical Questionnaire prior to participation.
  • Minimum age is 12. Children between the ages of 12 & 15 will be awarded the PADI Junior Certification.

Course Content

The course consists of a knowledge development session, skills practice & Open Water dives. The emphasis during this course is placed on practical application rather than long classroom based presentations, you learn about diving by diving.

Knowledge Development

Knowledge Development is based on a self-study method, allowing you to study in your own time, at your own pace. Home study is backed up by an academic session with a PADI Instructor, to ensure full understanding of diving theory.

Open Water Dives

For certification as a PADI Adventure Diver you must complete 3 of the following dives. During the PADI Advanced Open Water course you will make two 'core' dives; Underwater Navigation Dive & Deep Dive plus a choice of 3 of the following dives.

  • Multilevel
  • Dry Suit
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy
  • Night
  • Underwater Naturalist
  • Search & Recovery
  • Wreck
  • Underwater Digital Photography
  • Underwater Videography
  • Enriched Air

1 Evening (Theory & Skills Practice if required)
1 Weekend

What’s Not Included?

  • Travel expenses and entrance fee to the open water sites. Entrance fee is approximately £15 per day.
  • 2 passport sized photographs

What Next?

Your completed Adventure dives may be credited towards the first dive of the related PADI Specialty program.

You have the option of moving onto the PADI Rescue Diver Course, where you will learn to assist other divers and prevent and manage likely problems. Alternatively build experience in areas of your specific interest by taking PADI Specialty courses to help you qualify for PADI Master Scuba Diver, the highest and most prestigious non-teaching rating within PADI.

Sub-Mission also offers a Dive Club, where you can keep your dive skills up to date & make new buddies with people who share your passion for diving. Why not join the club on one of the many organised dive trips, holidays and social events.
