About Sub-Mission Dive School

During a year long trek through South East Asia & the South Pacific, Darren & Katy witnessed some of the world’s most breathtaking underwater scenery. They were keen to educate & enthuse others about the aquatic world, so upon their return to the UK in 2002 they established Sub-Mission Dive School to offer diver training to the Stoke On Trent & Newcastle Under Lyme areas.

Sub-Mission was based upon several key concepts that both Darren and Katy agreed would make a solid framework for a successful PADI Dive School. These were safety, strict adherence to PADI standards, minimizing class sizes, continued education for themselves and providing a fun and friendly service to their customers. This has become their formula to success and in maintaining these concepts their reputation has grown for providing a relaxed, fun and professional service.

As well as teaching others, they have continued with their own diving education and now both hold the PADI IDC Staff Instructor rating. Their commitment to continued education ensures that the high standard of diver training is maintained & that Sub-Mission Dive School are able to provide additional services to its customers.

Sub-Mission are proud to have the assistance of a committed & enthusiastic support team. This team of PADI Professional Instructors & Divemasters work hard to ensure that the highest level of training is provided.

After a successful 4 years, Submission opened the Dive Centre in a further step towards being able to offer their students the full diving package. The Dive Centre is centrally located and easily accessible to divers from Stoke On Trent & Newcastle Under Lyme as well as the Staffordshire & Cheshire areas. The Dive centre is now the focal point for Scuba & Snorkelling Equipment, PADI Diver training, dive equipment servicing and diving advice as well as being a great meeting place for divers and students to have a coffee and a chat.

Sub-Mission Dive Club, based at Newcastle Under Lyme High School has also grown in size and is now a busy, bustling club environment. The club demographic is extremely broad making it an exciting meeting place for all divers, welcoming all training agencies such as PADI, BSAC, NAUI & SSI. There are plenty of activities for divers to get involved in; from infamous Red Sea holidays, fantastic UK dive trips, parties and nights out to celebratory meals. Darren and Katy are extremely proud of the growth of the club and hope that new members will continue to add to the fun atmosphere and the friendly environment.
