Sub-Mission Dive Centre Tackles Britains 3 Highest Lakes

In Aid Of Donna Louise Trust - 14th/15th June 2008

Fuji Film Scuba Diving Underwater Housings & Cameras

"In 2008 a crack commando team from Sub-Mission Dive School was sent on a training program to prepare themselves for the 3 LAKES CHALLENGE!  If you have some money to donate, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can donate to the Sub-Mission Dive Team!!"

All donations will go to the Donna Louise Trust who rely solely on the generosity and goodwill of the general public for funding. The Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust provides respite for children with life threatening conditions and support for the whole family at the hospice and in their own home.

The idea is to dive in the 3 highest lakes in the UK in the fastest time possible, hopefully achieving this in under 24 hours. Sounds fairly easy doesn't it? The main issue is that all diving equipment must be carried to the lakes by each diver, for distances of upto 13km, covering a total of 36km. Add to this, unpathed routes over steep mountain terrain which will make this an extreme challenge.

The event will be held on 14th/15th June 2008 and will made up of several teams, all competing to get the fastest time!!!

The Lakes are;

Loch Coire an Lochan, Cairngorms
(altitude 996 metres) Approximately 13km from the nearest road and there is no access path to the loch.

Red Tarn, Lake District
(altitude 718 metres) Approximately 3.5km from the nearest road.

Ffynnon Lloer, North Wales
(altitude 650 metres) Approximately 1.5km from the road.

So as we work hard in an attempt to get into any kind of fitness, please dig deep in order to raise as much money as possible for the Donna Louise Trust!!

Your donations will be greatly appreciated for this extremely worthwhile cause. You may make a donation by clicking on the logo below.
